SO LONG SARAH!
Sarah Kelly, our vice chair and newsletter editor flies south this month.
She has a new job working for the RSPB at their headquarters in Sandy, Bedfordshire.
We first met Sarah when she turned up for a walk and the leader didn’t show up! Undeterred, we invited her to come along to one of our early committee meetings and she has been a stalwart ever since.
Sarah was there when we decided to put together our first programme of walks and talks. She took over the local group newsletter and made a great success of that and has worked on the team that developed our group website. She has attended the Local Groups Forum in which all Notts Wildlife Trust local groups are represented. In fact, in everything that the group has done, Sarah has been completely involved.
Sarah has been a fantastic team member. Her love of the environment, her down-to-earth approach and her sense of humour will make her irreplaceable.
Mansfield and Ashfield Local Members’ Group meetings won’t be the same again.
Good luck in your new venture.
Thanks Sarah.
Much love from
Rob and the rest of the team
