Dedication of New Local Nature Reserve - Warsop Carrs

On the 20th of July the hard work of the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust officers and volunteers, members of the Friends of the Carrs, members of the local community and the local Authorities was celebrated by the dedication of the Carrs Local Nature Reserve.

A previous news item on these web pages eluded to the difficulty encounted in establishing this local amenity, but all the hard work has now finally paid off. As a Warsop resident I have to take my hat off to all those involved in the foresight, planning and hard work that it has taken to create a vital wildlife habitat along side the River Meden.
