One Thousand Visits

As you will have read in previous items on the news page we monitor the popularity of our web site by looking at how many people visit the site.

April saw us reach a milestone with 1055 visits to the site. ( A visits occurs when a user requests a page on the site for the first time in any 30 minuet period, any other requests during that period don't count. This is a more accurate way of calculating how popular the site is than using a hit counter).

We can also tell that the busiest day for the site was the 29th with 98 visits and that more people visit the site at around 5.00pm than at any other time of the day..

It is very gratifying to know that the popularity of the site is growing month by month. I know I have said it before but for a site with no budget for marketing and only having been in existence since December 04 it is a remarkable achievement. It can often take 12 months to be accepted by the major search engines, but we are already seeing a considerable rise in our ratings on many of them.
